Vindaloo Spice Blend

Vindaloo is a dish made with vinegar and spices with caramalised onions.

We have done the leg work of bringing all the spices together for you, so that you you can enjoy the true authentic flavour.

Cooking Instructions 


Any protein/veg: 800 kg, Garlic paste: 2 tsp, Ginger paste: 1 tsp, Chopped onion: 3 large, Vindaloo Spice Blend – 3 tsp, Tomato puree: 1 cup, Vinegar: 3 tbsp, Water: 1 cup, oil – 4 tbsp, sugar: 2 tsp, Salt


Take 3 tsp of the Vindaloo Spice Blend and mix it with ginger- garlic paste, vinegar and a little water to make into a smooth paste and set aside.

Sauté onions in a pan till golden brown in colour. Add your chosen protein or veg and seal the juices on a high flame for about 5 minutes. Add tomato puree and the vindaloo masala paste, stir well and continue to cook for 6 minutes on high heat. Add water, sugar and salt. Cover and cook on low heat stirring once in a while for 30-45 minutes depending on time to cook your choice of protein. Serve hot with boiled rice.

Other Uses

Make curry sauce – Combine with different ingredients such as onion paste, tomato puree, yoghurt, coconut milk to make gravies and sauces

Use as Marinade – Add 2 tsp of Vindaloo Spice Blend and salt to yoghurt or olive oil or ginger-garlic paste to make a marinade

Make dry rub – Rub in Vindaloo spice blend into your chosen protein for adding additional flavour.
